Last updated June 2026.

Start with the short version: the numbers you type into a calculator on this site are not the IRS's business, and they are not ours either. Here is exactly what happens when you use IRSReliefGuide.

What never leaves your device

Type your balance into the tax debt calculator, a wage figure into the payment plan tool, or an asset total into the offer in compromise estimator, and that number is processed entirely in your browser. There is no server-side record of what you entered, no account, and nothing tying a calculation back to you or your IRS account.

Standard site analytics

Like most sites, we track which pages get visited, roughly where visitors are located, and what kind of device they used. That tells us which guides need work; it tells us nothing about what you typed into a tool. Block this anytime through your browser's cookie settings.

Advertising through Google AdSense

This site runs Google AdSense, which may set cookies to serve ads relevant to your browsing elsewhere on the web. Google, not IRSReliefGuide, governs how that data gets used. You can adjust or opt out of ad personalization through Google's own Ads Settings.

Affiliate relationships

A portion of the outbound links here, including some in the footer, are affiliate links. If you click through and take an action on the other site, we may earn a commission. That relationship never changes what a calculator returns or what a guide recommends.

Your choices

The cookie banner that appears on your first visit lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can revisit that choice later by clearing this site's data in your browser or adjusting cookie permissions directly.

Changes to this policy

If how we handle data changes in a meaningful way, this page gets updated and the date at the top moves.
